Terms of Service

By using Nabu, you agree to these terms. Nabu is provided as-is during the alpha period; features may change without notice. For the formal long-form terms during alpha, please reply to any email from us. We'll respond with the in-progress draft.

You retain all rights to screenplays, treatments, characters, and other creative content you create with Nabu. Nabu does not claim ownership of your work. We process your content to provide Nabu to you, including the AI features you use (writing, editing, coverage, etc.), and as described in our privacy policy.

We never train AI models on your creative content: your scenes, treatments, notes, conversations with Nisaba, or AI-drafted text once it is part of your script. When AI features need outside models, we send your content only to providers whose terms, published data-use commitments, or settings on our account exclude it from model training. We also keep optional structure and choice statistics: numbers and decisions, never prose, used only in aggregate. You can disable those signals in Settings. Nabu uses third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, Moonshot (Kimi), and OpenRouter, which passes some requests to other hosts of open models) to generate suggestions, write scenes, and produce coverage reports, and AssemblyAI and OpenAI to turn dictated audio into text. These outputs are tools. You are responsible for editorial review before using them in any commercial context (production deals, WGA submissions, etc.).

Our canonical privacy policy for both nabu.page and app.nabu.page is published at nabu.page/privacy. The short version: your screenplays are yours, we protect your personal data, and we don't sell information to third parties.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We'll send you a security alert email any time your account email changes. If you spot one of those alerts and you didn't make the change, contact us immediately at hello@nabu.page.

You can stop using Nabu at any time and request deletion of your account or associated personal information by emailing privacy@nabu.page. We'll respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law, subject to legal, billing, security, fraud prevention, backup, and collaborator/workspace exceptions.
